I’m Ash Wuillemin, and I help salon owners bridge the gap between trade school and genuinely salon-ready hairdressers. Client expectations are higher than ever, yet the industry approach to training hasn’t evolved at the same pace - leaving salon owners to carry the pressure of developing real skill.
That’s where my work begins.
My approach is built on experience, not theory. I’ve worked in and run a successful Melbourne salon, trained in some of the best salons in Australia, and educated for leading professional brands on stages including Mane Stage.
Everything I teach is grounded in real salon conditions, with one clear goal: developing confident, profitable senior hairdressers you’d proudly employ.

Skill-Based Training Modules
Each module is designed to close specific skill gaps.
All skill modules include consultation training because great technique means nothing without clear communication and confident client management.
Blow Wave Bootcamp
No hot tools until the blow wave is mastered.
From diffusing natural texture to polished finishes, this skill builds a strong foundation in analysing hair texture and density, basin service, product selection, and breaking down client inspo into achievable styles.
The Gloss Edit
Covers all aspects of Zone Toning, Root taps, root shadows, root stretch, and face-frame sectioning, with a focus on formulation, placement and problem-solving.
Going Global
In my opinion this is one of the most consistently overlooked services, I cover all areas on how to nurture your grey coverage clients. No dark hairlines, no colour staining and above all else.. for the love of all things hair, NO COLOUR ON CLOTHES!
From semi-permanents to grey coverage and retouches, this module builds consistency, efficiency, and confidence across all-over colour services.
What does ‘Skilled’ even mean…!?
A skilled apprentice can confidently look after clients, communicate clearly, manage time, and execute modern techniques to a premium salon standard (AND MAKE YOU $$$). Skill is knowing how to do something AND why you’re doing it, not just following ‘steps’.
It’s understanding how technique, consultation and efficiency all connect on the salon floor.

I am here to make things easier! Training is shaped around your salon’s culture, service menu, appointment structure, and timing, so what your apprentices learn fits how exactly how you operate day to day.
Having worked in and run my own salon, (and some of the best salons in Australia) I deliver skill-based training that fits your salon vibe, your timing and your workflow, so your apprentices add value without adding pressure.
1:1 Apprentice Training
$90 per hour
To ensure meaningful skill development:
Styling modules - minimum 2 hours
Colour modules - minimum 4 hours
Additional Team Members
+$30 per hour per trainee (Capped at 4 trainees total)
This allows multiple apprentices to build skill together while keeping training focused and effective.

Salons outside my travel radius of 20km from St Kilda will incur a travel fee. Any additional costs are always discussed and agreed on prior to booking.
